You've arrived at the O+E fanclub. This club is a community of deviants who love the original story Okage and Enlil by Sarah Ferrick, our fellow deviant. She's also known as ~elf-shojo here at DA. If you're familiar with Sarah's work, please consider joining! If not, read on, and use some of the links in our resources section to find out more about this great story!

WHAT IS O+E?

O+E is the original story Okage and Enlil, which was created by Sarah Ferrick. It's been in the works for quite a few months now, and currently you can mainly find it in the form of Sarah's lovely artwork. ^_^ But it's also being used in one of her short manga projects, and the larger story is in development as well. If you're familiar with it, you know it has a lot of potential! And her characters are beautifully designed and very loveable.

The basic storyline is as follows: Okage is the smallest angel in heaven and something of an outcast. (He has such small black wings that he can't really even fly!) Certain events force him to travel to Earth, where he meets a young man named Enlil. Enlil is a mysterious and complex character, something of an outcast himself, and more than he seems. He is in fact in league with the evil Scallop, who is bent on using whatever means necessary to take over the land. As Okage and Enlil get to know each other, a series of surprising events brings them in contact with everything from ghosts to an egg king! For more, please refer to the Resources section.

One of the newest forms of Okage and Enlil can be found in its fanworks. Several admirers are already creating fan art inspired by the story. This club was created especially to feature those fanworks and also Sarah's original art. ^^

JOIN!

To join the club, read the following.

Requirements:

-You must like Okage and Enlil to join, since this is a fanclub. If you just overall like Sarah's art, that's okay too. ^_^

-You don't have to do anything to join! But we encourage you to participate in club events. After all, that's what makes it fun!

-It'd be very nice if you included our club icon in your journal once you're a member. If you don't know how to do this, drop me a note.

To join:

1. Send the club a note with the word "JOIN" somewhere in the title. That way I know what your note is about. *To send the club a note, scroll to the top of the club user page. Click on the box-shaped icon that says 'Send Note.' Then type your message in the text box. Not too hard, but it's a bit tricky for newcomers. If all else fails, use my e-mail.*

2. Please include in your note your favorite O+E character for our club poll. ^_^

3. You should get a reply note that says you've been accepted.

4. Have fun and participate in club events! Visit our club page from time to time to check what's new.

CLUB EVENTS

Sorry for the wait, everyone! Sarah and I have both been pretty busy lately. >_< Anyway, here's the next theme for our contest...

Okage+Enlil Through the Seasons

The idea is to draw a picture involving the characters of Okage+Enlil and the seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter in some way. You can depict just one of the seasons or all of them. It's really up to you. Same with whichever characters you choose to use in the picture. So will you draw Okage in the snow? Maybe Enlil at the beach? O__o The possiblities are endless. Lol, just make sure the pictures involve bathing suits if you're going the summer route. We need a PG rating at worst. Thanks, everyone!! Please send in your submissions. We all know it's most fun when lots of entries are sent in! And this time, there will be prizes for first, second, AND third place, to be announced soon. (I promise, this time we'll announce the prizes before the deadline, so you know what you're working for.)

SO... Here's the deadline! August 1, 2004. I know, I know, it seems far away, but those summer weeks melt away before you know it, so make sure you have enough time to do your picture. I'm not going to extend the deadline as long as I did last time, because it got a little drawn out, so just keep that in mind. Have fun, everyone! ^_^

Here's the prizes for our contest!

First place: Special request picture done by Sarah herself!

Second place: Your choice of request picture by *falling-starchild, if you like, or you may request any favorite picture of Sarah's to be made into a custom wallpaper.

Third place: One free O+E computer graphics item of your choice! Choose from a custom wallpaper or avatar of some kind.

So far, there are about five entries, which I will be posting very soon for your viewing pleasure. (I'm still getting permission to do so for some of them.) In the meantime, remember...

We always accept O+E fan art! We'd love to feature your artwork. Just use one of the following methods to send it to us.

If your work is already featured as a deviation and you want it to be listed on the club's favorites...

-Send me a note with either a link to the deviation (I'd prefer this) or with the title of your picture so I'll know what to look for.

If you want your work featured as one of the club deviations (!!) and don't mind if it's posted a second time (assuming you've already posted your pic here at DA)...

-E-mail me your picture as an attachment! We recommend this because it's easier for fans to comment on your work and means you're directly participating in the club. Title your e-mail something like "O+E Fan Art" so I know what it is. Use the e-mail address located near the top of this page. I'll retype it here:

CLUB NEWS!

The Rising Stars of Manga Volume 3 is now officially available at your local bookstores and comic shops, courtesy of the one and only Tokyopop! Be sure and check out Sarah Ferrick's entry "A Little Rain," starring Okage and Enlil!

Remember, this is the first time you can actually purchase part of the O+E story, so all fans should be sure to check it out!

Sarah's started a brand new RPG Forum for O+E fans! Be sure and drop by, whether you like to roleplay or just want to keep updated on the whole O+E storyline. The link is located here:

Be sure and reserve your favorite character FAST, if you want to roleplay as one of Sarah's characters. If you want to be an original character you create (which Sarah has also allowed), then still be fast and get in on the action! Come on, everybody! Let's make this a fun forum for us to hang out at. So far, Okage, Kamo, and Ahiro are taken, but I'm sure more characters will be gone if you guys don't hurry on over. We'll be doing some roleplaying and learning a lot more about O+E. ^_^ Stay tuned for more info! This is a very, VERY new forum, so more news about it in the future.

THE LATEST ON THE FORUM: Well, we have a handful of people RPGing as of now, but it'd be great to have more! It's a lot of fun, even if you've never RPGed before (I haven't, for example, but it's awesome!). So be sure and stop by! There are still some of Sarah's characters left, and anyone can create a new character, which lots of people have been doing.

One thing if you create a character... You can definitely do an angel, just make sure it flies, since Okage is after all one of a kind. ^_^ Happy RPGing and whatever else you may be doing this summer!
